What is it?
Sentiment checking is a built-in feature that automatically identifies mismatches between low star ratings and positive review commentary. For example, if a customer sets a 1 or 2-star rating but writes commentary praising their service or store experience, the system will prompt them to double-check their star rating before the review is submitted.
- Sentiment check pauses review submission until the written commentary aligns with the selected rating, helping ensure authentic and accurate reviews.
Where to find it
Sentiment Check is located in the Survey Settings area of the portal. Follow these steps:
- Go to Portal
- Select Seller Ratings
- Click Start Collection
- Open Settings
How to enable it
- Locate the Sentiment Check option within the settings panel.
- Toggle the feature on to enable automatic sentiment checking for incoming reviews.
- Save your settings.
Once enabled, reviewers who leave a low star rating (1–2 stars) with positive commentary will be prompted to double-check their rating before their review is shared publicly.
