Common answers to why your review may no longer be public

We work to maintain a platform built on authentic, relevant, and trustworthy consumer experiences.
Reviews are never removed simply because they are negative, and businesses cannot pay to have legitimate negative reviews taken down. Our moderation process is designed to focus on authenticity, relevance, and compliance with our community standards — not review scores.
If your review is not appearing publicly, there are several possible reasons.
Common Reasons a Review May Not Appear
Content Policy or Guideline Issues
All submitted reviews must comply with our:
- Trust & Authentic Content Guidelines
- Content moderation and community standards
- Your review was flagged by a retailer
- Your review was public and reported
Reviews may be delayed, or removed if they contain:
- Off-topic commentary unrelated to the shopping experience
- Personal attacks or harassment
- Vulgar, hateful, or threatening language
- Copyrighted or copied material
- Personally identifiable information (PII)
- Spam or promotional content
- Suspected fraudulent or coordinated activity
For example, reviews focused primarily on political commentary, unrelated disputes, or topics not directly tied to the retailer experience may not qualify for publication.
Reviews May Be ReportedBoth shoppers and retailers can report reviews directly from the public review page for potential policy violations.
Common report categories include:
- Profanity or abusive language
- Copyright infringement
- Privacy concerns
- Off-topic or irrelevant content
- Suspected fake or manipulated reviews
A report does not automatically remove a review.
Human Moderation ReviewReported or flagged reviews are evaluated by our moderation team. This process may include:
- Reviewing the content against platform guidelines
- Requesting supporting evidence from shoppers or retailers
- Verifying purchase or interaction details
- Evaluating authenticity signals and platform abuse indicators
Moderation decisions are made based on policy compliance and authenticity standards — not whether a review is favorable or unfavorable.
Why Reviews Sometimes Take Time to AppearSome reviews may undergo additional verification before publication. This can occur when:
- Automated systems detect unusual activity
- Multiple reviews are submitted from similar sources
- The review contains content requiring manual review
- Additional verification is needed to protect platform integrity
If your review is not showing up:
- Review our published content guidelines
- Ensure your review focuses on your direct shopping or product experience
- Avoid including personal information or abusive language
- Respond to any outreach from our moderation team requesting clarification or verification
Our goal is to maintain a transparent and trustworthy review ecosystem for both shoppers and businesses.
