What Stores Can Be Submitted to ResellerRatings?

ResellerRatings is a consumer feedback platform designed to capture real customer experiences across the full customer journey.

We support reviews for a wide range of consumer-facing businesses, including both:

• Retailers (e.g., online stores, e-commerce brands)

• Service providers (e.g., education, healthcare, home services, financial services, and more)

If a business interacts directly with consumers—whether through a purchase, service, or ongoing relationship—it may be eligible to be listed and reviewed on our platform.

Reviews are not limited to product transactions. Customers can share feedback on:

• Overall experience

• Customer service and support

• Communication and responsiveness

• Billing or account management

• Website or digital experience

Our goal is to provide a comprehensive and transparent view of how businesses engage with their customers, regardless of industry.

⚠️ Important: stores listed on ResellerRatings are shopper submitted or via online businesses. Our team reviews submissions before approval to keep our directory safe, transparent, and valuable for consumers.

Core Requirements for Store Submission

For a store to be accepted, it must meet all of the following baseline requirements:

1. Active, Live Website

   • The store must be publicly accessible via HTTPS and load normally.

   • Placeholder, “coming soon,” or inactive domains are not accepted.

    

2. Clear Business Identity

   • The website must display a verifiable company name and/or brand identity.

   • There should be an About Us, Team, or Contact page with legitimate details (not generic or hidden).

    

3. Consumer-Facing Policies

   • Stores must provide transparent Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and (where applicable) Returns/Refunds or equivalent service policies.

    

4. Transparent Offering

   • Products or services must be clearly described, with visible pricing, booking flow, or checkout process.

   • No vague “investment opportunities” or non-descriptive landing pages.

    

5. Standard Payment Methods

   • The store must accept recognized payment channels (credit/debit cards, PayPal, Stripe, etc.).

   • Unregulated or obscure payment schemes (crypto-only, cash wires, gift cards) are prohibited.

    

6. Prohibited Categories

   • While we do accept store ratings for fire-arms and adult services - Stores may not offer illegal, counterfeit, unsafe, or high-risk goods/services, including but not limited to:

     • Drugs, controlled substances, or paraphernalia

       • Adult Products

         ✅ Allowed: Legitimate adult product retailers (e.g., lingerie, sex toys, wellness products).

         ❌ Not Allowed: Pornographic content, escort services, or sexually explicit media distribution.

        

       • Weapons

         ✅ Allowed: Licensed retailers of legal weapons (e.g., hunting gear, sporting firearms, knives).

         ❌ Not Allowed: Illegal arms trade, explosives, or restricted defense equipment.

        

       • Financial/Crypto

         ✅ Allowed: Regulated financial services or platforms with licensing.

         ❌ Not Allowed: Unregulated crypto exchanges, trading scams, or “get rich quick” investment schemes.

        

     • Gambling, multi-level marketing schemes, or “get rich quick” promises

     • Unlicensed trading platforms, investment scams, or unregulated crypto exchanges

      

    

7. Authenticity Check

   • We actively screen for AI-generated scam sites and “fake” service businesses.

   • Any site showing signs of automated, deceptive, or malicious creation will be rejected.

    

   Examples of Acceptable Submissions

   ✅ E-commerce stores selling physical goods with standard checkout.

   ✅ Service providers with clear scope, booking, and policies (e.g., salons, repair shops).

   ✅ Legitimate subscription or SaaS platforms with defined product offerings.

   ❌ Sites with no clear ownership or identity.

   ❌ Crypto-only or trading “investment” sites without regulatory approvals.

   ❌ Placeholder or incomplete websites (“coming soon”).

   ❌ Obvious scams, duplicates, or AI-generated shell stores

Why These Rules Exist

ResellerRatings protects shoppers and businesses by ensuring:

• Consumers interact with real, trustworthy companies.

• Merchants benefit from a fair and transparent review ecosystem.

• The directory avoids spam, scams, and harmful content.
