By implementing both checkout surveys and email after-purchase surveys on your storefront, you can benefit from high-converting real-time feedback at point of purchase, along with comprehensive insights into shopper post-purchase surveys.
Expand your Survey Objectives
Checkout surveys provide you with valuable insights right at the point of purchase. By including a brief survey during the checkout process, you can capture real-time feedback from customers while their experience is still fresh in their minds. This immediate feedback allows you to identify and address any potential issues, such as usability problems, checkout process difficulties, or technical glitches. It helps you optimize your website and checkout flow for a smoother customer experience.
Comprehensive Post-Purchase Insights with Email Surveys: These surveys enable you to gather more detailed and comprehensive feedback on various aspects of their experience, such as product satisfaction, delivery speed, customer service, and overall shopping experience. Email surveys are often more in-depth and can provide you with valuable qualitative feedback, suggestions, and opportunities for improvement.
Why would you even want to do this? Well, it's simple.
- Splitting the way you collect surveys helps you A/B test which way is more successful for your business
- You can take advantage of both the HIGH collection rate of Checkout Surveys WHILE also getting surveys for Google Qualified stars
- This allows you to not only collect a LOT of reviews but also get Google-qualified reviews by sending some shoppers a checkout survey (high converting) vs post-purchase emails (lower converting but Google qualified)
Google Qualified reviews can only be post-purchase reviews, taking into account the FULL fulfillment cycle which means delivery of the product!

Some Tips
Ensure you have your checkout survey and normal pop-up configured properly. Each has a different template and is defaulted to ask the same questions. So if you have customized your survey, make sure your other survey (checkout or post) is configured so you're asking your shoppers the same question!
