Bad Fit Business

Companies that are generally not to our standard to work with

ResellerRatings – Bad-Fit Businesses

At ResellerRatings, we’re committed to operating with the highest standards of trust, transparency, and integrity. These values are central to our mission of empowering consumers with authentic voices and helping businesses build reputations rooted in genuine experiences.

As an open review platform, any consumer can create a profile for a business on ResellerRatings. We believe this openness is vital to ensure shoppers have a space to freely share their real experiences.

However, there are cases where a business fundamentally conflicts with our standards and values. When that happens, we will take steps to remove and block them from our platform. We call these “bad-fit businesses.”

A bad-fit business is one that creates harm, undermines trust, or operates in ways that conflict with our core principles. We do not want these businesses on ResellerRatings.

Types of Businesses Considered Bad-Fits

We will remove or block businesses that:

  • Manipulate trust – aid or enable others to manipulate news, reviews, documents, ratings, or results.

  • Abuses the platform – repeatedly or maliciously flag negative content, harass reviewers, or otherwise misuse the flagging system.

  • Promote harm or hate – advocate or glorify hatred, violence, terrorism, xenophobia, or any form of discrimination.

  • Offer illegal products or services – including illegal drugs, prescription drugs sold on black markets, or counterfeit goods.

  • Exploit vulnerable individuals – provide or facilitate escort services, mail-order brides, prostitution, forced labor, or human trafficking.

  • Circulate abusive or illegal content – create or distribute sexual abuse imagery, explicit material involving children or animals, or any illegal exploitative material.

  • Engage in animal cruelty – organize illegal animal fights or sell products made with parts from endangered animals.
